She lost her leg at the age of 5 due to serious medical complications yet this never deterred her from chasing her dreams in life. Despite her state & paucity of funds, she chose school, believing her condition will not stop her from having education. Today she’s a student of the Polytechnic of Ibadan. Adenike is a cheerful girl, always smiling & full of life despite everything. But the current prosthetics which she uses no longer functions. She has outgrown the prosthetics, making it difficult for her to move around without human support. If you know any organization that supports amputees or foundations that can help provide funds (or prosthetics) Please, and having recognised everyone's effort/contribution towards the issue of our legend (Adenike), we huge everyone to contribute tremendously towards this and also if u know anybody who knows great personality; politicians, carrier profess...

RESTRUCTURE NIGERIA, TRUE FEDERALISM

Ethiopia is building Africa's largest dam called the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam. When completed, the dam will generate 6,450MW of electricity! The entire project will cost $4.8billion. Ethiopia started work on that dam in 2010. The project is already over 60% completed as at today. Meanwhile, Nigeria's biggest dam project (Mambilla) will generate 3,000MW and will cost $5.8billion! This is a project we conceived since 1982. We have still not achieved even 5% completion! Compare both projects and countries and see for yourself. Ethiopia is a landlocked, non-oil, agricultural based economy, yet it has witnessed steady economic growth than Nigeria. Have you heard of Ethiopian Airways, where is Nigerian Airways? Do you know the secret of their (Ethiopia's) success? Read their federal constitution and see for yourself what federalism means and can do. Ethiopia has no crude oil and gas, yet they have left us behind. Take this weekend and read the Constitution of the Fed...

A WAKE UP CALL TO ALL FOSSU SENATORS

A WAKE UP CALL TO ALL FOSSU SENATORS The system of governance by our students union leaders has proved to be nothing both Dictatorship of the highest order. Democracy which is known as government of the people,  by the people and for the people has now been changed by our students union leaders to government  of their people, by their people and for their people. Our Unionism is now of Secret cult, is either you join the group and neglect the students interest or you stay with the students and watch while you are being played around    The senate principal officers in their activities has shown to us that their Weaknesses has been an advantage for the Executives to play the Oyo state students around.Any Leadership that is built on Lobbying and Secretive governance will definitely turn to dictatorship. An example was the Courtesy Visit to Kabiyesi Olubadan of Ibadanland, i found it very difficult to understand how the Senate President and his colleagues who shows no ...

IBADAN EMPIRE; Still on KIRIJI WAR, longest civil war in the word

The Ibadan empire With Ijaiye disposed of, Ibadan was free to consolidate its empire in the east. Between 1847 and 1870, large areas of Ijesha, Igbomina, Ekiti and Akoko came under Ibadan control (Akintoye, 1971: 33-75). Initially, this was in response to the threat from Ilorin. Some of the Osun towns like Osogbo had willingly come under Ibadan protection. More force was used in the subjugation of the towns further to the east. The Ijesha proved difficult to control. While Ibadan was occupied with the Ijaiye war, the Ijesha attacked them from the east. They were beaten off, and the Ibadan capture of Ilesha in 1870 marked the high point of Ibadan power (Akintoye, 1971: 56-60). The subordinate towns controlled by Ibadan came to be administered through officials called Ajele, a system similar to that of the former Oyo empire (Awe, 1964). Each of the towns was the responsibility of a “babakekere” in Ibadan, who administered through an Ajele in the town it...
