A WAKE UP CALL TO ALL FOSSU SENATORS

A WAKE UP CALL TO ALL FOSSU SENATORS

The system of governance by our students union leaders has proved to be nothing both Dictatorship of the highest order. Democracy which is known as government of the people,  by the people and for the people has now been changed by our students union leaders to government  of their people, by their people and for their people. Our Unionism is now of Secret cult, is either you join the group and neglect the students interest or you stay with the students and watch while you are being played around

The senate principal officers in their activities has shown to us that their Weaknesses has been an advantage for the Executives to play the Oyo state students around.Any Leadership that is built on Lobbying and Secretive governance will definitely turn to dictatorship. An example was the Courtesy Visit to Kabiyesi Olubadan of Ibadanland, i found it very difficult to understand how the Senate President and his colleagues who shows no respect to we the senators from all the constituency all over the country instead they play on our intelligence by secretly planned their Agenda of the visit and successfully kept it during the plenary whereby the senators were been used as an equipment of Dictatorship.
Also, Organizing a program of secret planning behind the senators same as we accused the Executives before the Independence program.
Not calling for sitting for More than 10weeks after the last plenary And lots more. This has proved to us how personal interest is the major aim of our principal Officers.Untill we are all ready to face the reality, FOSSU senate will remain the same

THE EXECUTIVES
Our Executives has proved to us to be independent and Autocratic arm that believes they are untouchable. The executives now organize programs without informing the senators Who happens to be the chapter presidents. Well it is of good innovation i must commend them if their programs organized behind the senators are successful, this will prove to us how the Senators are toothless. The reason for this is not far fetch, the senators are the chapter presidents and More closer to the students if they can inform their students of the autocratic and unaware programs by the executives to halt the turnout wont be a herculean task.
I believe its time for the senators to let their voice be heard, lets not surrender to being used by people with little or no interest for FOSSUITE rather personal interest.FOSSU NATIONAL belongs to all
Besides, all the senators going behind to lobby with the Principal officers and the Executives should remember that what ever benefit you derive by going against your students interest will definitely  Come to an end one day, nothing last forever.
Lets wake up for a better FOSSU NATIONAL

IBADAN EMPIRE; Still on KIRIJI WAR, longest civil war in the word

The Ibadan empire With Ijaiye disposed of, Ibadan was free to consolidate its empire in the east. Between 1847 and 1870, large areas of Ijesha, Igbomina, Ekiti and Akoko came under Ibadan control (Akintoye, 1971: 33-75). Initially, this was in response to the threat from Ilorin. Some of the Osun towns like Osogbo had willingly come under Ibadan protection. More force was used in the subjugation of the towns further to the east. The Ijesha proved difficult to control. While Ibadan was occupied with the Ijaiye war, the Ijesha attacked them from the east. They were beaten off, and the Ibadan capture of Ilesha in 1870 marked the high point of Ibadan power (Akintoye, 1971: 56-60). The subordinate towns controlled by Ibadan came to be administered through officials called Ajele, a system similar to that of the former Oyo empire (Awe, 1964). Each of the towns was the responsibility of a “babakekere” in Ibadan, who administered through an Ajele in the town it...
